I figured I'd share the story of my favorite gecko, Darwin (Yeah, I play favorites
)
Darwin was a rescue i got from someone who didn't want "her" anymore. (they dropped it off to me at the shop i work at). "she" was 2years old and only 7.2 grams.. it was one of the saddest things i've ever seen... that was last summer.
here is his progression:
6-25-08: 7.22 grams
7-24-08: 13.2 grams
8-17-08: 19.2 grams (and MALE for sure!!)
10-17-08: 31.0 grams (he stayed steady in the low 30s for awhile, so this is just a random date i knew i took these photos on, but he was at that weight before, too)
and from there, it didnt take long to get him where he is now:
He's at a pretty steady 37 grams these days. He's as healthy as ever, and I paired him with a female this season, but 1/2 her eggs were infertile and the others didn't make it- she was a first-time female so i expected that.
Darwin really is my favorite gecko. he has tons of personality, i can't help but love him XD
thanks for looking!
