HOW TO CARE FOR A LEOPARD GECKO

Hi in this care sheet I hope to teach you how to care for a leopard gecko
Hope it helps

Things in this care sheet:
• Vivarium’s
• Substrates
• Heating
• How to set up the tank
• Feeding

Vivariums

When you’re getting a vivarium try get good sized one (2, 1 ft.) at the smallest.
Get one with more length and width than height. If want to have more than one gecko get a tank that’s more than 3 ft.

Substrates

There are a lot of arguments about different substrates the main argument is SAND i suggest not to use sand because it can cause impaction. I suggest just using newspaper or paper towels or you could use repticarpet

Heating

The heating you will need is a heat mat you will need to put it on one side so there will be a hot side and a cold side your heat mat will have to be 90 degrees

How to set up the tank

So you now have a substrate down and heat mat set up. You will now need two hides one normal hide and one moist hide the moist hide is a hide that you can make yourself (go on YouTube) the moist hide is to help the lizard shied there skin.
Also put something in for them to climb on.

Feeding

For feeding you will need water that should be kept on the cold side and should be changed daily. Calcium you will need a small dish of calcium that you can get any reptile shop. For food you can use cricket’s mealworms it’s your choice you can get these at any reptile shop.
