I live in Massachusetts which means the winters can get pretty cold. For the past several winters I have moved my gecko tank into my walk in closet and used a space heater by the tank to keep it the proper temperature. This worked successfully but it makes my electricity bill go up. I need ideas to help keep my gecko tank insulated to keep the warmth in during the winter.

- I am thinking of insulating the top and sides of the cage with either cardboard or tinfoil allowing proper ventilation.
