So... My local pet store is looking for $8 for 100 mealies... ridiculous! So I've looked online for canadian mealworms and found this ad: 1000 Live Mealworms Reptile Food Bluebirds Fish Food | eBay

1,000 for $25 only 2 provinces over, free shipping, 4 to 10 days, and a free re delivery if there's a 25% or more DOA.
I've looked all around and this seems like a good buy but I only have one gecko, so I was thinking I could breed them and sell them to the pet store or localy and even make some $$$?
What do you guys think? I also just bought 250 cricket card for $25 at my local petshop so I will always have a back up :)

It would all depend on the size they are, I can get 1k of Giant Mealworms for $27 or 1k of Medium for $20. As for selling them to the petstore, I live in the US so can't provide that accurate of information, but our local big chain pet stores buy the containers in bulk from a breeder. Keep in mind that they are retail, that means they are all about buying cheap and selling huge markups, they may also not buy from a herper because of legal reasons and they want to ensure the product will stay alive and is healthy. Anyways, if you do breed them you can put your extra in your fridge just to make them last longer and find a way to advertise to local herpers around you. I hope that helps you some what!
