How big are they? They're pretty! Hope the other one pulls through!

Your incubation substrate looks pretty wet. How did you measure it and what kind of container are you using? Just trying to help to head off issues with any future babies if that might be the cause.

They came out at just 1g as for incubation it was at a very consistent 82 and I used 8oz of vermiculite 2oz of water to start off and would only add drops in when the humidity started to drop below 70. As for container I used a hill shire meat tub with the lid and put a single pin size hole on the side of the tub. The other baby seems to be doing better as she has pooped twice now and seems to b eating pin heads. Thanks for any help. Also I should mention that my first clutch was very healthy and it is from the same parents who are in their first season.

I've used a substrate to water ratio of 5:4 for the last few season with great success. The same ratio is usually discussed as 1:0.8 as 0.8 is the number you multiply the weight of the perlite by to get the correct weight of water. Air humidity levels won't tell you much about the saturation of the substrate. I would ignore humidity completely and measure out the substrate and only add water if the eggs start to dent a bit. Excessive moisture in the substrate will be absorbed by the egg and can cause the neonates to stress in the egg and possibly hatch early if they feel they won't survive until they're more mature.

Glad to hear the other little one is doing okay! Hope she pulls though!
