Help ID this guy/gal

Got him from a buddys lil cousin, who did not know his age, morph, or sex. I currently have 3 Flying geckos and picking up 2 afircan fat tails friday and sat. Kind of an exciting week for the Walsh's[emoji2]

I thought high yellows had the bright yellow bands without black spots?

Anyway, to the OP, if you want to know the gender then post a picture of the leo's vent - so a belly and tail shot.

Not according to my understanding, even did a little google search and saw mean geckos labeled high yellow with black spots in the yellow bands, maybe I am wrong, but I didn't think so

It's probably me who is wrong. I tend to get mixed up a lot. I'm just happy I know what mack snows and SHTCT(B)s are. xD

High yellow is just a term for a normal that has a reduced amount of spotting, but not reduced enough to be considered a hypo (ten or less spots). Yours looks like a beautiful normal

By banded I'm assuming you mean that the dots form bands? Then if I'm not mistaken normals can be banded too. They just have higher concentration of spotting in bands, and have a lower concentration of spotting in the other areas

Yeah, I get what you mean now, so a high yellow would be less dots then a real normal (and showing more brighter yellow) but not 10 or fewer dots or tangerine color to be considered a "hypo"? Is that correct? Thanks for helping me understand!

Yes! You're understanding now :) though hypos don't have to be tangs either. They can be regular yellow.
