Woo! So after waiting a while to be able to pick her up, we got her today :) Her name was Spots but that's terribly uncreative so I have re-named her Sansa. She's 12 years old! A sweet little normal. Tank is 18 x 18 x 24.

Lot's of things in her setup I had to change, like sand. I need to get her some calcium with and without D3 (he had a multivitamin at least) as well as a thermostat because there's two heat sources under the tank (on the same side) that aren't regulated. I'll need to carefully monitor the temps until I can order the thermostat. I didn't realize I'd have to get all this right now because he is such an experienced herp owner, I figured he knew as much as I did and she would come all set, but it's okay. A really nice fellow, he just needed to downsize.

To the pictures!

(I can't get rid of that random attachment, sorry.)

Yay! You finally have one! Be careful though, they spread like a diease! I love her light color BTW :)

Is the name a Game of Thrones referance by chance? ;)

Thank you :D I'd like to get some pics of her in brighter light, but she is a nice yellow with lavender patches. Yep, GOT reference!

Haha you got it! I had been wanting to use the name for a long time :) Her heat mat is staying around 90, so that's good until I get paid on Friday and order a thermostat. It's kinda fun watching the crickets, no chirping yet and I have them right beside me on my desk. They have a cut up potato and carrot in one dish, and cat food with some calcium cricket food in another.

They won't chirp until they are fully grown and then only the males (usually) chirp. I gave up crickets along time ago, my geckos stopped following them and they were a pain to keep.Anyways, good luck!

Yeah I can't wait to get mealworms, hand feeding her the crickets is hard because the legs fall off and her tank has a built in background that they just climb up. It seems to be a mix of adult and smaller crickets so it should be interesting! She shed today, so once she rests a bit from that I think there's some shed on a couple toes I need to get off, but the tips are orange and not white like shed so it's hard to tell.

Gorgeous girl! Just be careful with her during shedding. It already looks like she lost the tips of her toes due to a bad shed. Other than that, herself and her enclosure looks great!

Yeah, the previous owner told me about that, it happened before he got her. Which isn't too far fetched because she IS 12 years old. I did get stuck shed off her two remaining claws as best I could so it shouldn't be constricting now. I realized the claws were orange because she was on red sand before xD

It's a half hour venture feeding her 3 crickets! 3 seems to be all she'll eat a day so far. I have such trouble picking them up with tweezers and tongs, I end up ripping off their back legs which is fine, but then I have less to grab to dangle them in front of her. Even without back legs, when they escape the tongs they go under and behind the textured background all the way to the top!

The second I get mealworms, I'll be so relieved!

After Shed Pics, before the stuck shed removal:

Those eyes!! She is pretty. And as others stated and your finding out... its a very hard disease to keep under control. I just ordered 3 more to add to the 5 I have... yup, 8 now... and I'm sure others are like "8, I can't remember when I only had 8". Lol
welcome to geckos!

Today she had her first poop, and boy was it big! They were a bit bigger than her eye! She must have been holding it or something haha I'm curious to see what her next ones are like. And of course she chose her moist hide as her poop corner :p

Thank you for the nice comments everyone ^^ She ate 6 crix tonight, she's been eating every day since I got her, it's crazy now how the previous owner was only feeding her once a week... and he called her a rescue, which implies your going to take better care of her than the last person. Sheesh.
