Random Gift From Neighbor

I was just chatting with my neighbor today and she randomly asked if I would be willing to take a leopard gecko. She said she was kind of scared of it and was afraid she wasn't providing her good enough care. Being a leopard gecko lover, I thought "what's one more?" and said yes. =)

She's a normal (stripe, I'm pretty sure) but it doesn't matter because she is pet only of course. She's SO tiny! I've never had a leopard gecko so small. She's probably only 6 or 7 inches from head to tail. She came to me on sand, but has since been switched to paper towels and given proper heat. I actually think she's really pretty. I haven't had many normals before.

Nice looking gecko She looks pretty healthy. If you look at her from a distance you'll be able to see her banded markings, so I don't think she's a stripe.

Thanks. =) I'm enjoying her. And you're right. From a distance she does look banded. Close up, though, I feel like I see a stripe. But it doesn't matter. I think I would prefer banded. I like having a normal since I don't have any others. She'll make a good pet.

She is very beautiful, and I'm glad she found a good second home. Who knows, she may surprise you and start growing again on good heat and diet...

Maybe! She's two years old, so I'm not sure if she'll grow more. She's doing awesome, though, and eating like a horse! She ate 15 mealworms the first night. It should be easy to put a bit more weight on her. I don't mind her being small. It's kind of cute. =3 She's the only one I have in an actual tank. I figure I'll keep her in a tank instead of in my rack system. She can be my display leo, and my example of what they look like naturally.

What a cutie! She looks pretty nice and healthy, what a nice gift. I had a small leo once, she was a patternless and probably only 6 inches long. Cuter than a button.:nice:
