So my last two babies of the season (first season!) hatched today on day 57, incubated at 82 degrees. =) I got to watch one!

Anyways, they all look so different!

Pairing: Banded Typhoon (firewater cross) x Sykes line super hypo tang het eclipse

This one is a tang het eclipse and rainwater albino.

This one is an eclipse het rainwater albino. Why is she so bold? They both came from the same pairing. What is she likely to look like when she's older?

And here is the one that hatched earlier in the season:

And a little white eclipse nose!

That's the funny thing, is that the dad (banded typhoon) is also super hypo. Not a spot on him except for his head! But you can see the bands and that he's not patternless stripe, so I call him a banded typhoon. So I have no idea where that dark baby is getting her bold patterns.

And the darker one is definitely eclipse! I double checked just now with a flash light (compared with the non-eclipse hatchling) and she has pitch black eyes for sure. I thought it was really weird, too. I haven't seen an eclipse with such dark markings before. But if you look at he picture of her face, you can see the white nose. The picture of the eyes isn't the best, but I assure you, they are just as dark as they look in the picture.

Good looking offspring, and a cool pairing! It's not uncommon for one clutch mate to be darker like that, both should developed into cool geckos.

No, I did not. The male was sold to me as a banded typhoon by John Scarbrough, so I am inclined to believe he is rainwater albino and not tremper. The female was sold to me by Steve Sykes who specifically noted that she is not het for any type of albino. So essentially I'm just putting my trust in the breeders I bought them from. =) And they are quite reputable, so I think it should be just fine.

Congrats on the babies! I'm sure that darker one will change a lot of it ages. I bet it will lighten up a lot.
