Hey I have a question for all of the vet Leopard Gecko..ers... What is the blue markings above the eye or between the eye lids? Is it some kind of biological sign of nutritional needs or is it something else?

I don't think the blue is the actual eye balls but instead the muted color of the blood flowing through the blood vessels feeding the eyes and the surrounding tissue. I thought this was due to the fact that the eyes are the last part of the gecko to develop. This is why premature babies typically hatch with underdeveloped eyes. It's the same thing with premature baby humans, eye problems that is.

Anyone?
