We also enjoy workin' with different wildtype leopardgeckos, e.g. with E. angramainyu, E. m. afghanicus, E. m. macularius or E. m. montanus etc.

We also notice that our wildcaught and F1 animals are more darker than the other normals in captivity. And they do have a more "special" looking.

But great lookin' gecko you have there Robin!:main_thumbsup:

Yeah, i gotcha Robin... My point is, is that saying THAT is what a "REAL" Normal looks like is kind of the same as me saying that I am what a REAL Human looks like... and that because the rest of you, and the rest of the world for that matter, do not look like me, then none of you are Humans. ......:huh2:

...Now you get what i am saying...??? LOL

..But i do get what you are saying tho about it being a gecko with absolutely NO OTHER gene influences to it. And how other people say that things are normals when not... and all that jazz. I get your point, and it was well laid out, and thanks for not goin for my knees! lol

I wouldn't really call a Normal "natural", as even they are not truly wild types, being hybrids between various subspecies.

Tou Che'

This is true, but u get what i am saying... I'm sure even in the wild tho, an Afghanicus might just come across a Fasciolatus, and do the horizontal mombo, and thus start wild hybridization aswell. So when you think about it, who even knows for sure that that "Pure" WC Afghan that you (not you personally, i'm saying you in general) just purchased doesn't have some sort of other subspecie blood in it somewhere down the line...?!?!? Who's to say that not 1 leopard gecko in the wild has ever come across one of it's relatives on a different subspecies...???? :main_yes:

I think more or less what Robin is saying when she said that this is a true normal, is that she has an old school normal. I'm a huge fan of them, and have three myself that are het for nothing. They have a slightly different look than most heavily inbred animals do. I guarantee it. (IE: Larger eyes, bigger jaws, shorter noses, etc). Old. School. :D

Thats an awsome normal.I think we forget about the regular normals amongst all the gazillion morphs we now have.I'm looking for the same type of normal to put in my collection/

I just thought I would add my normal, But the thing with mine came from a cross from a tremper albino and a patternless. But with that he seems to have head traits StopperExotics was saying.

I just snapped this pic after a shed.

I need to get a new pic of him with my new camera.

they are not as easy to find as you might think, in fact they are sorta a rarity in a sense

That is so true, I remember my very first leopard geckos I had in the early 90's were very very plain looking and much darker then today's normals. Man I miss them :(

You know, i find this very funny. I was just looking at all the posts on here and said to myself, how come nobody posts about normals? Then, as i went to create a post, i saw this. I think evveryone gets caught up in creating this or that, and loses sight of the original beauty. Don't get me wrong, i still have yet to see a leo that i didnt like, but im just sayin. Originals are where its at. This is a picture of my beautiful girl, pickles. Enjoy!:main_thumbsup:

Hey i have a question. I have two normal females, but one of them is almost a chocolate-y brown color. Im colorblind, so i really dont see much else on her, is that a normal trait to have??
