Hello

I buy this Female maybe 4 Years ago in a Petstore as Normal.
In adulthood she starts to darken up, and with every Year she gets darker.
I decided to wait and see what happen, but now i think is time to show...

in my opinion she have lot of potential, but maybe im wrong...
What you guys think, is she just a dark Normal or maybe a Hypermelanistic?

Room-temperature is 28° Tank has Hotspots up to 34°.
Have all my Leos in the same Room.

Yes, maybe its just a Normal.
But can you see the concentration of melanin on the Back, the bigger Spots and the almost Black Tail?

The founders of BlackPearls and Black Velvets, talking about a velvet looking Black. The same i can see on the concentratet black on back and neck area...

How i say, maybe im wrong.
But except the Original Black Pearl and Blackie the original Black Velvet, i never see a darker Gecko!

She is a beautiful hypermelanistic Normal. I have a hypermelanistic Mack Snow (Dark Chocolate). She would certainly have great potential, but the problem is to find a breeder male! You won't be able to get hold of a male Black Perl or Black Velvet, unless you have good relations to Poland or Sweden ;) You could search pet stores or private breeders for a hypermelanistic Normal male, and maybe you get lucky this way!

Good luck!
