I just rescued my friends boyfriends leo. When I asked him how long it has been since he fed it, he said "I don't remember" :main_angry: . He keeps it on calcium sand, and when I told him it was bad for it, he said "oh, that's how it gets it's calcium" WHAT???? The tank had a huge pile of feces and the whole tank reeked. There was NO water in its bowl. He had a UTH plugged in, but when he unplugged it, it was cold so obviously it wasn't working. It's also not hand tame. I tried to pick him up and it just hissed and wiggled. I also think it might habve MBD (or whatever it's called). I'm going to get an apointment for a fecal asap. I'm also going to Petco first thing in the morning and getting reptile carpet and a UTH. I fed it 3 mealies because I don't want to overfeed it (if that's possible). I'm in the process of getting the tank cleaned and reset up with paper towel until tomorrow.
These are the best pics I could get. Does it look like it has the bone disease? Is it even worth it to try to save it? Or is it a lost cause? It doesn't look as bad as some I've seen, but still
Also, could you tell me that type? It looks like a Snow something, but I could be wrong
Feces pile:
I'm not even sure if this is the right place to post this, sorry
