Guys - is it really all about money here in this post discussion?? you really dissappoint me here..
It should be about the respect, love and responsibility for a living being!!

Needless to say that I know from my own years of experience as breeder that not everything prooves out to be genetically reproducable or stable. This takes time, dedication and patience. So time will tell..

No project of the world is worth over-stressing females in laying more eggs than is good for them, and having them die of eggbinding, prolapse etc. in the process.
So congrats to the pretty gecko and your breeding project :). I hope you will take things slow, and give yourself and your animals all the time you need in order to work professionally and ethically :).

Welcome to GF, I hope you 'll have fun and that like many of us you'll be always open and willing to learn ;-)

Rebecca how do we avoid over stressing our females with laying too many eggs in a season? Maybe my question is silly but don't they often retain sperm from copulation that may last them a full season of eggs?

She's bebeen in with the male that produced her and she's looking gravid so fingers crossed. And she was born this way so I don't believe it's a skin issue.

I've seen other "piebalds" before and they didn't prove out, so we will see. I'll check back in 3 years and look for the genetic proof (recessive? Codom? Dom? Polygenic?). That's the proof I'll be looking for. Until then, it's just a cool looking gecko.

Just doing a lot of travel, still like to pop over once in awhile to see what cool stuff (like this) is going on. I know, very dangerous as the gecko bug can bite hard at any moment.
