my geckos and a huge mistake.

I recently separated all my geckos into bins and got a couple group shots.Nothing incredibly fantastic but I like them..

I have a super snow male in quarantine right now too(he had some funny poops).
Anyway when I reached around to set down the camera the jungle male and the hypo male were in major fight mode. Clamped down on each other and I had to dowse them with water to get them separated.Luckily no tails lost and no major injuries. I thought the neutral territory would freak them out enough to be civil but guess I was wrong.

This used to happen to me all the time, one time one of my males actually escaped his enclosure and climbed into another male's, just for the sake of getting his own tail bitten off. I'm much better about catching these things now, better I get my fingers nipped than have another gecko lose it's life.

Definitely want to keep them separate, as it could have been much worse. I've had males bite me and draw blood when smelling the scent of other males on my hand. I've learned to minimize the damage by keeping them from going into their "alligator roll" after they clamp down.
