Mack Snow Giant

Hello! this is my first post on the forums. I have owned reptiles for many years and have bred leos before. Now I'm slowly going to be starting to breed again.
So I got this male mack snow about a year ago as a giveaway on a local classifieds ad. The owner said he got him from a breeder online which was a known breeder that I recognized but for the life of me now I just can't remember who he had said. The owner said he was a mack snow giant.
The male seems large, weighing in at 90 grams and around 9 inches long. How would I prove out the giant genes if present at all. Just because of his size doesn't mean hes for sure a giant right?
Any input on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to GF. I imagine you would breed it to a non-giant and see if you get giants. I'm not personally familiar with giants, but from what I've read, they are longer and lankier as juveniles and as adults are usually upwards of 10" and 100 grams. If he's full grown, I'd wonder if he's really a giant.

Well thats the plan. I have four females he will be breeding. A super snow, 2 mack snows and a bold stripe mack snow.
I noticed that he almost looks like he has a little bold strip going behind his shoulders for a short bit. Hopefully this will help bring out more bold stripes, if I will be so lucky. I plan on holding babies back for at least a year to prove out the giant.

A friendly word of advice. When you get a free gecko off craigslist, and they said that they bought it from a breeder.....always check with the breeder. Breeders keep records, and can verify this info, and also give you an insight to any hets. I have personally had craigslist people tell people that they bought from me, which they did not. Luckily they contacted me to verify.

And I would do that but for the life of me I cannot remember the breeder. I remember I recognized the name. The texts may be on my old phone with the info, I'll have to check. I had not planned on breeding when I got him. Just wanted him as a pet. Now I've wanted to get back into breeding again.

Sally I got a gorgeous w/y eclipse male that will be bred to that super snow het eclipse I bought from you. Gonna love those outcomes! :)
