I've read a thread about something like this before, but I could not find it again and don't well remember the particulars. I picked this girl up at this weekend's show who was labeled as a RAPTOR. She was bred and sold as such by Mike Rekowski when she was a hatchling, and when her owner originally picked her up she had solid, ruby red eyes. They've obviously changed from that, however. I also don't see other markers for eclipse, but I'm just curious if anyone else has input on it? I know I've seen a discussion about something like this before, and she doesn't seem to have tremper eyes, either.

This is apparently a picture of her when she was a bit younger and before all that boldness set in, but still after the eye change.

It does look like it has some dark areas. I'll have to check when I start to interact with her. Letting her unwind after her long weekend at the moment. Here is a full body shot. She just seems so dark in pattern for eclipse influence.

I posted last season because I produce some Tremper eclipses that just didn't look as if they had red eyes. One responder suggested shining a light on the eye from behind the gecko and seeing if it was red. Yes, they were! In addition, I shined the light on some of my non-Tremper eclipses and their eyes were not red, so it really works.

Aliza, thank you! That sounds like a good idea. I'll have to try once she's fully settled in.

Gave her a few weeks to settle before trying the flashlight. Still don't see clear signs of eclipse.

I don't see it or the white nose tip or white feet. Are you sure wasn't listed as Aptor or het raptor?

I was concerned with the lack of markers, as well. She was marked as a reverse stripe Raptor, which is how the person had bought her when she was a hatchling. I'd heard good things about Reptiles by Rekowski, which is who produced her. I got a response from him yesterday, and while he doesn't remember her directly, she's probably from his emarine/rainbow raptor project.

Also got the original buyer to send me an e-mail thread they had with him back when they bought her and her eyes had changes within a few weeks where he apparently says sometimes it happens with his Raptors and in his experience they still breed true eclipse. I'm skeptical on that. At this point, I'm going to treat her as a tremper pos het eclipse and try to prove it out.

Don't know the original breeder but he is well known and respected. I've seen some incredible stuff from him. But either way it is a s stunner
