I just got a rescue female off of sand ( she's still pooping rocks after a week) but her colour was really dark/greenish and she had a hint of orange on her tail...
I'm really not sure what morph she is and I need to know for when she goes up for adoption!
(all of my adopted geckos have a full background check on the adopter to make sure they go to loving forever homes, geckos that are unable to be adopted stay with me!)

Heres a few pictures of my new girl

The pictures are a bit brighter than what she looks like. She's a very dark shade of green around her sides and it;s really odd, I have a wild type and he doesn't have any hint of that, he's more brownish/orange near his sides

I did some editing to what she looks like to the naked eye, rather than the high lighting added to my photos through this forum haha

Green on leopard geckos is usually caused by a mix of lavender and orange/yellow pigment. It's often called Emerine, although I'd be hesitant to call any gecko that unless it came from an known Emerine line. I'd just call her a standard normal. :)

To me, it looks like her color is a bit off. You'll probably get to see better color on her after she's been kept with proper husbandry for a while and had a shed or two...

I was actually wondering if a shed or two would make her colours a bit more vibrant. She wasn't housed very well so hopefully with my care she'll show her true potential. I'll post updates with her colours after a few sheds and hopefully I can figure out if she has any morphs in her or if she's just a normal

Here are some pics after a shed! She got more green haha
Any thoughts?

Second pic isnt edited so it isn't what she looks like to the naked eye like i said above^

She's like a weird greenish yellow ive never seen
Out of my 5 geckos, 3 are normal coloured and theyre both not this yellowish green, it's almost neon in real life

Not really a morph name I'm aware of that describes a normal with green coloration. As I mentioned, I wouldn't really call it emerine unless it came from known emerine lines. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.

I've had a few normals with greenish tint especially in afghan crosses. But it's still just considered a normal

Still looks like a normal to me as well. Keep in mind, there is no real standard for normals. Normals can have lots of variation.

Here are my two normals (ignore the scars on the smaller one's head. She is a rescue and is recovering from a scrap with another gecko)

As you can see, one of my geckos is smaller and bright yellow. She has medium sized, dark black spots and very large eyes.

The other is bigger, heavier set, and is almost tan colored. She has small, speckly, dark brown spots. She has smaller eyes and duller coloring.

They look pretty different. Are they still normals? Yup.
