Question about Bell morph differences

Hello all,

I was just wondering if you all could help me out here. I was just wondering, what is the difference between a "bright bell" and a "(bell) sunglow". I have one of each and they look almost identical.

Thanks,

A bell sunglow should have no patterning and be tangerine (so should be solid orange). A brightly colored bell albino would have patterning and be brightly colored.

Thanks for your response, however when I said "bright bell" I wasn't referring to a brightly colored bell. It was sold to me with a morph name of "bright bell". It looks identical to a sunglow (no pattern/tangerine). I didn't know if there was a difference between the morphs or if "bright bell", was another name for a sunglow.

Bright Bells are a line of Bell Sunglows derived from Paul Allen. Pretty much just a marketing name for his line.

To be a bright bell, it must come from Paul Allen's line. If it's not from his line, it cant' be a bright bell. Bell sunglows and bells in general can vary in color a lot. Some will be lighter and more yellow orange and some (like Paul's line) are much darker and a red orange. As with any morph, some are going to be nicer and more high end than others.

The Breeder told me that she was from Paul Allen, she is very deep orange almost to the point of being red. I have read an article recently, that stated the main difference between a bright bell, and a bell sunglow is that a sunglow is a SHTCTB + Albino, while a bright bell is essentially a Blood Hypo Bell. Is there any validity to this?

I'm not sure what Paul used to make the first bright albinos, so your best bet is to send him a message on facebook and ask him if that is correct info. You are correct with sunglow though.
