I recently got my newer Leo and was wondering if anyone knew what morph she(hopefully a she) is. I looked it up but can't remember what the page said. I also remembered from when I had my first one that the way their eyes look can help establish a morph. I totally thought her eyes were completely black, but they're not. The second picture you can zoom in to see the details of her eye(s).

Just realized the last picture you can't zoom in far enough to see the eye, so here is the same picture just zoomed in.

It looks like a blizzard to me, especially with the solid black eyes. Maybe a super snow blizzard, because of the dorsal stripe.

"She" doesn't have solid black eyes. They're half black with the other half being grey.

I thought patternless super snow because the pictures people have posted in other forums (i did a Google search of how she looks) look exactly like mine.

The best we can do is guess. Probably a darker blizzard. Could have eclipse or it could just be the weird eyes you sometimes get from blizzards. However, sometimes different morphs can look similar and there is no way we can know for sure without the genetic background info.

Looks like a midnight blizzard

- Duzer

Midnight is just a marketing term for a dark blizzard. It's not genetically different than normal blizzards. And often times, blizzards will go from light to dark and back. They change quite a bit.

I doubt it is a patternless super snow, mostly because you're extremely unlikely to find one of those just by chance. Blizzards are much more common and often have eyes that are partially or completely black. It doesn't appear eclipse to me because it does not have the markers (white nose and feet).

A murphy's patternless het eclipse would just look like a murphy's patternless. Hets do not display phenotypically.

Murphy's patternless het for eclipse...

I hope this is a joke. As stated many times, it's hard enough to ID a gecko by visual morphs. You definitely cannot tell what hets it carries.

MP and blizzard look a lot alike. Often times you can't tell between the two. However, blizzards tend to have false eclipse eyes which is why most of us believe it's a blizzard. Either way there is no way to know 100% on which morph the gecko is without test breeding (which isn't really advised on a basic morph). This is a nice pet gecko.

Like I said....probably one of the darker Murphy's Patternless with the classic characteristics found specifically in the eclipse variety....call it what you want...no splitting atoms here....

It doesn't help anyone to answer in a way that might not be accurate. Especially when it comes to hets.

Nice justification...I am a successful breeder and have raised both Eclipse and Murphy's Patternless. I am currently breeding super hypo tangerines which are nice healthy specimens...thanks for your input...
