Diablo Blanco Question are they all the same?

I was recently gifted a Diablo Blanco that was purchased from Ron Tremper. The cost of Mr. Trempers Diablo Blancos range 300.00+ and I see reptiles by mack sells diablo blanos for 80.00+. I have noticed the cheaper animals appear to have more yellow. Can anyone explain the differences if any? Are Trempers animals just more selectively bred for less yellow?

I would like to get a mate for the male I received and am not sure if I am just paying for the breeders name by getting one from Mr. Tremper.

Thanks for any help!

Ron Tremper created the morph so the name brand will cost more. But the better quality ones are real white and the eyes are 100 percent red. A lower quality tends to be more yellow and only partially eclipsed eyes.

Welcome to GF!

Think about what you want to produce if you decide to breed. Be aware of the different traits that make up the Diablo Blanco morph and take that into account. Get another gecko from a reputable breeder that can tell you exactly what the genetic makeup is. Be sure you're prepared with incubator, space for hatchlings and financial resources for housing, food and vet visits and you'll be ready to roll.

There are different grades of any morph. You could collect a bunch of geckos that all are the same genetic morph, but some will be considered better examples and cost more. Other, lower-quality animals will be sold for less. Not saying you have to pay the highest price to get the best animal, but make certain you know exactly what the animal you are buying looks like. The quality you invest in will dictate the quality range you can produce in the offspring if you breed.
