i dont remember seeing anything when i did research on genetics, is it line bred or can it be passed down? should it be named as a het(as i just hatched a baby whos father was an emerine)? thank you! i appreciate all the help! it fills in the gaps of my knowledge!

As far as I know it is a line bred trait, but i'm not sure if it's fully understood yet, or if the articles i'm reading are out of date.

Thank you I don't believe the mom and dad were emerine but I would have to check my records. I will keep track of it in hopes of more understanding

Yes, it's line bred. If the babies show some emerine traits, it would be worth it to call them emerine crosses. If not, I'm not sure I would mention it.

ok thank you, his parents are not emerine at all thats why i had asked. can it show up randomly then become a line trait? im still working on my genetics knowledge i feel lie im back in highschool!
