Paradox

Hey everyone, I've been looking at the geckos at our local pet store for a few months now and nothing has caught my eye until I saw this little girl. She was a special order that the person didn't want. And I've never seen one as big as her in that store, the manager said she was 2. I pick her up Friday. Has anyone else had a paradox or know anything about them?

I produced a Mack snow gecko once with a paradox orange spot. I have a male Mack snow with a paradox black spot on his tail (I'd take a picture but I'm too tired right now). He has been one of my breeders for about 5 years now and has not passed it down to a single offspring!

Nice looking gecko!

Personally I wouldn't call her a paradox. She's a tangerine with a couple of spots. Paradox is a gecko that has a spot it shouldn't have, like an albino or with a black spot (since albinos don't produce black pigment) or a leucistic gecko with a spot (since they are normally patternless). The black spots on tangerines have been line bred out so for one to pop out every now and again is not an unusual thing. That gecko is a very nice tangerine tho!

Sweet, thanks to the both of you for the input. @drcarrottail I looked up the definition of a paradox and I was sceptical so I'm glad to clear that up, that's just how the store had her labeled. I don't care what she is, she caught my eye the second I saw her. (Which is rare for me) I'll post more pics when I get her tonight. She's definitely not white, but I've always wanted a tangerine so win win!
