MACK SNOW HYPOS??

Hey Guys,

Does anyone have any pictures of a Snow Hypo hatchling?? The reason I ask is because one of the hatchlings that just hatched yesterday produced some interesting results from the first clutch..

The first hatchling looks like a normal snow.. But the second hatchling has a very interesting look to it... It is mostly white with some purple/Brownish spots...

Its definately snow, I know that for a fact.. Although I am unsure whether or not it is a Mack Snow Hypo or not... I am aware that Hypos are generally yellow/orange with black spots on it, but could mixing Snow with Hypo result in a mostly white animal?

Thanks

I'm sure I have pictures somewhere. Note that "hypos" usually hatch out with regular bands and then lose most of the black pigmentation. I have snows that have become super hypos, but they have all turned orange. I'll try to find some pictures this weekend.

Pairing was Super Radar X Bell Hypo het. Eclipse... This particular baby is a Radar, and is obviously a snow.. Just wasn't sure whether or not a Hypo hatchling looks any different when mixed with a snow.. this baby does have traces of yellow in it (camera doesn't do it justice).. but I have also seen snows with yellow as well..

Cool pattern!

Personally, I bet the sparsity of its bands is due to a combination of being hypo/super hypo and eclipse. It reminds me of one of my eclipse babies who ended up being super hypo.

Really sparse markings on this one, too.

Love the coloration on that one! So would you say this is a Snow Hypo? Or a Snow whose traits are altered from on of the parents being a hypo.

IMO it can be hard to say for sure whether a hatchling will be hypo or super hypo until it is bigger. My hypos/super hypos from last season developed spots as they grew, some of them lost all the spots, and other kept a few.

But I would say all in all, that hatchling you have is very likely to be hypo/super hypo.
