Is it known how these traits actully work yet? I was looking at an interresting blazing blizzard eclipse/snake eye project that i might be interrested in, but so far everyone i talked to isnt sure how eye traits work, i dont wanna lay out $400 a shot for eclipse BBs and find out that when i breed eclipse to ecplise i dont even nessessarily get eclipses back.

Not necessarily. I have a few that I'm excited about working with...and I understand that it is a trait that passes on to offspring. If you like the look then it's worth trying to reproduce in my opinion. Still, it just seems like very little is understood about where all these "eye morphs" are coming from. They definitely bring some excitment though... :)

This is a little off-topic but where did you get your Blazing Blizzards SaSobek? I have really been wanting one.

Thanks for all the comments. yes they are really white and actually i have never seen any of them be dark at all. i know that some people say that their animals get lighter and darker on there mood, i guess mine must be happy :D .

I did get mine from Mark Bell at daytona. but i did hand picked them for there eyes just for the project im doing with them. i have some animals with over 90% black in the eyes. then i have some with like 40-60%. here are 2 more pics for you guys in this one you can see the snake "eyeing" on the left eye.

I have been raising pure blizzards for a long time, and it is not uncommon at all for them to have solid black or partial black eyes. It does seem to carry in the genes, but we are not sure that the Blizzard 'eclipse' eye and the RAPTOR and Eclipse eye are the same mutation.

I produced a total eclipse and a snake eye Tremper Blazing from a pair of regular blizzard (obvious hets) that had no remarkable eye traits at all.

I'm thinking the two are different because I haven't heard of someone producing an Eclipse/Snake Eye Raptor crossed to a non het in the first generation like I did with my Snake Eyed Blizzard. My guess at this point is that it's just a random anomaly in Blizzards.
