a little about W&Y
HI all!
anyone can tell me how i can distinguish a W&Y from an other leos...
there are any guidelines or characteristics that a leo must have?
I have seen many pictures, but not all geckos named W&Y are for me W&Y
can someone help me?

I would love some help on this, too. I've hatched two babies from a w/y pairing and have no idea how to tell. I'd love to have an idea before the next eggs hatch.

The best description I have come up with is 'enigma lite'......
They show an almost 'blurry' edge to any banding and also typically have high white sides. You would know if you saw one next to a 'normal'.
I'll try and post some pics off the pc later...Hello World....

A peach head is also a give away but mostly when next to a clutch mate you can really tell. The tangerines are the hardest. When they are one month or less I mark them at that time. After 3 months it's really tuff if you are not use to it. The bands tend to not really have an end to them they just blend with the sides and white seems to out line them. Also on the back of the head the white band stays a lot longer than normal. They are white or faint light marks on the face of the gecko are a dead give away. Hope this helps we hatch out about 30 or so these are the sings we look for. Thx Sean

Right - lets see how these do...
Line bred snow W&Y.
Hatch day

Next

W&Y het Bell

W&Y Super Hypo

It's not massively clear on the pics, but you can still see an 'enigma ish' fading to the patterning, not as bold as enigma but getting there.
As I said, you can certainly see the difference in 'real life' when you spot the hatchling in the incubator.....
