I have what I assume to be a normal/wild type morph that I got from a pet store. Lately, after each shed, more and more orange is appearing on his tail. I know that they have to have a certain amount of orange to be considered carrot tail, but I was wondering how much is typical on a completely normal/wild type morph and if there's a possibility that he has some carrot tail gene in him.

Cool! He looks like a really pretty leo!

Technically to be considered a CT the orange on the tail should be unbroken - meaning it has no black spots mixed in. Some say 15% of the tail from the base needs to be orange to be considered a CT but I think newer references put it around 30% or more.
