How long before I worry about his toes?

My gecko had an okay shed, but on the tips of 3-4 toes they still look white from left over shed. I've been keeping his moist hide consistently damp, and even sprayed him a little. Does it get any easier to get off after another few days? Is there a chance he can still get it off on his own? He's just a little guy and not a fan of being restrained, though will come out on his own accord to explore. I thought I'd give it a few more days before I tried to go at him with a wet q-tip or tried confining him to a warm moist hide or bath, but wanted to see what experiences you guys have had.

I would give him a warm soak with just enough water to cover his feet for 10 minutes and try to get it off with a q-tip as soon as possible. In my experience, once the toes swell up from being constricted, the skin becomes a lot more difficult to get off.

Let us know if it works. A tiny bit of olive oil on a qtip has helped me in the past only if the water doesn't work. Sounds like you caught it pretty quick so it shouldn't be too bad. Little toes are fragile!
