First: What temp the bottom of the tank be for a leopard gecko? Currently my tank bottom is 77 on the cool side and 92 on the hot hot side.
Second: What is to hot for a leopard gecko tank to be on the bottom?
Third: What is the best thermostat to use to regulate the heat on a heat mat? Because I'm worried about the heat mat getting to hot for his belly.

My tanks are cool side 75-77 degrees but those will change in the winter time to a little cooler as the room cools off. Warm side I aim for 90-92 degrees again it will swing a little as the temps change out side.

For me 95 is my max and if it gets warmer I will adjust the heaters.

I don't use thermostats so can't recommend any. I use rheostats (dimmer switch) to adjust the power going to the heat tape.

For thermostats, Hydrofarm, Zilla, and Big Apple Herp are good. Agree with the temperatures above. In the summer, my enclosures usually run ~90 floor warm, and 77-80 cool because the house is hotter though.

I have carpet zoomed. I use with 98F. The Gecko love this temperature. This is dangerous?

98 F is a little high if the actual surface temperature of the carpet is 98 F. If the top of the carpet is 98 F when measured with a temp gun or digital temperature probe, you may want to decrease the heat.
