Leo being aggressive/defensive at himself?..

I'm pretty sure my leo is seeing his reflection in the glass and getting aggressive/defensive. He probably thinks it's another male.. He gets up on top of his hide to make himself look bigger, and stares at the glass, slowly moving towards it, licking and doing the tail wag. How can I get rid of the reflection? Once when I was cleaning all his hides and his tank was empty, he went nuts and was actually charging at the glass. It freaked me right out his poor little nose must have hurt after that.. He's not aggressive towards me at all, I'm pretty sure it's just the reflection.

The easiest and most inexpensive way to fix this is with construction paper or similar papers. Around the inside of his tank, cover the bottom three inches or so, just enough so he can't peer over. Alternatively, you can purchase a vivarium backdrop for relatively cheap. Best of luck to you and your gecko!
