Thermostat

This is actually probably a dumb question but I just thought about it is it possible to use a house thermostat? I'm going to use a hydro farm but I just thought maybe I'd ask if it's possible to use one

The house thermostat has a probe somewhere in the house, so you wouldn't be able to put the probe into the cage to measure the temperature. The way a thermostat works is that there is a probe that measures the temperature in some location and then turns on when the temperature at the probe site gets too low and turns off when that temp gets too high. So, as you can see, the house thermostat is only going to regulate your house.
