I'm just wondering about how you guys set up your moist hide boxes and what you put in them either vermiculite, perlite, or anything else. Also where would you get it?

Thank you!

For hatchlings I cut out the side of a plastic baby food container (I had a lot of those from the days I was feeding day geckos baby food, but you could also use small gladware containers), line the bottom with paper towels and mist daily. For the adults, I take a gladware container, cut a hole in the top and use eco earth which I moisten as necessary. These boxes double as lay boxes and humid hides.

The easiest option would be a Tupperware and just drill a big enough hole on to by the edge and fill it with warm damp eco earth and put on top of the heat mat. That's what I do and it works great so far(last 2 years).
