leopard gecko weird behaviour

Earlier today, I was doing my routine checkout and feeding on my leopard gecko. When I opened the enclosure for one of my leopard gecko, he walked towards me and suddenly jumped on me. I've had him since he was 1 month old and he use to bite me occasionally while he was young. I didn't mind it since he was still small and the bite wasn't painful. But, as he grows bigger (10 months old now), I'm kind of afraid of the damage he can inflicts. Sometimes, he would act calmly and allow me to handle him, but sometimes he just stare and try to bite me whenever I put my hand into his house. Is this kind of behaviour normal?

Those fingers probably look like wonder big mealworms! I guess you and he will have to come to some kind of understanding if you can figure out when it seems as if he may bite.

Sometimes, I didn't even put my hand in. He would just stare at me. The weird behaviour is especially common during the daytime. He is a reverse stripe raptor. I know that albino leopard gecko is sensitive to light. Could this be the reason for this weird behaviour as he can't see me properly in daylight.

I haven't found albinos to be that incredibly sensitive that normal daylight would be a problem for them. I just got a crestie (surrender to the Gecko Sanctuary and I took him in) that was lunging at me every time I got near him. I started hand feeding him and then would pick him up by wrapping my hand in my sleeve so I didn't get bitten. He's a real sweetie now and lets me pick him up all the time. Maybe just frequent handling will do the trick.

Well, every gecko has different behaviour, so there is not any universal 100% working solution for you. More contact with you / with your hands may make it better, but I also think you need to find a way to treat gecko the way he / she will not freak out and try to bite you.

Or maybe your gecko is possesed with evil and will eventualy try to destoy all the mankind and this is just beginning, who knows ... :D
