How easy is it for a leo to drop it's tail? The only experience I really have with geckos are the house geckos in my backyard. They drop their tails with any amount of touch. But upon becoming more informed I've realized that leo's don't drop their tail as easily as the wild ones here. But exactly how easy/difficult is it to get a leo to drop it's tail? I just recently got 2 little ones and although I do handle them regularly to tame them, I'm still very cautious lol. I'm a little scared to put any amount of touch or pressure on their fat tails.

It's actually pretty hard to get them to drop their tails. Their tails is where they keep all their fat storage (very valuable resource), so they will only give it up if they absolutely have to. I've had geckos leap out of my hands and caught them by their tails on accident and never had a drop. I once had two geckos fight and one got a big wound on its tail and didn't drop. I wouldn't worry too much.
