Do I need to diet?

this my gecko probably 4 months old..shes looks fat to me do i need to diet her?Tnx

i got her last june she was about 2-3 months then(thats what the seller told me)...tnx ill probably control her feeding

she is a bit on the heavy side .. what are you feeding her with ? try an feed her with moving insects like crickets or grashoppers so she has to move more .. then you might not have to put her on a diet.

My geckos got mid-section fat like that when they were gravid.

And are you SURE about the age????
And is she housed with a male?

Because I would think that if that was truly obesity, wouldn't the tail be fatter?
Or is she just so big that it makes her tail look thinner?:main_laugh:


She IS beautiful, though!!! :main_yes:

Mine looks like that when he flattens out to "bask" on my hand or a rock - but then, he doesn't have that armpit thing going on. :tongue3:

she is housed individually...im not a hundred % sure of the age because the seller said she was 2-3 months when i got her on june...i feed her super and mealworms...tnx for all the comments :D

I think the seller fibbed on the age...a lot. LOL I would guess somewhere closer to 8-10 months old. It's hard to tell on a fat gecko but she may be forming infertile eggs, causing her belly to look so fat.
