Leo not Active

I have had my new Leo, Rex, for several days now, and he is maybe a month old. He has not left his Alligator Skull for much besides the occasional water and food. He had 3 of his 5 crickets today, they were in there since 2pm now 10pm, and had all 4 yesterday over 12 hours. The temperature is a constant 88 on warm side and 80 on the cool side. Just curious why he isn't getting out much like the rest of my males Leos have. Please help...

What would the best way to raise the temp? I have a 60 watt heat lamp, so probably a UTH?

Yeah, but those heat mats are super duper hot. I used my temp gun on one and it read 135 degrees! You either need enough padding on the bottom of the tank or a thermostat to control the temperature.

I threw in a 100 watt bulb and is perfect now. Sitting right at 93 when I checked last and Rex is already more active.
