Best Thermostat?

Just out of curiosity I was wondering what people on here thought about their thermostats. Pros and cons and what are the best ones for the money. Which ones require the least amount of monitoring for the money cause in the end we would like one that lets us worry the least about our little ones having issues!

I really like my herpstat 4. It is very easy to set up and always keeps things within .2 of a degree of where I set it. It has tons of features too. The only downside is the price.

I'm using 2 Hydrofarm thermostats. I got them from Amazon. If I remember correctly you can get them shipped to you for about $30. Shipping to Canada bumped mine up to almost $40 each which was still 10 bucks cheaper than anywhere I could find locally.

The Hydrofarm gives a range of about 4 degrees F around my set temp, nowhere near the accuracy of the Herpstat but does very well in it's budget range.

I also have a hydro farm also, which works well for the under tank heater for one of my Leos. Best budget on/off thermostat. Way better than what you can buy at the pet stores around here.

I can not find this thermostat by the name you gave it. I have checked google, amazon, and ebay can you help me out?

Yeah prices on those are insane for me right now lol. I am trying to find a good one on a budget. Would like one that can hold withing 1-2 degrees.

I just switched to the Hydrofarm and it makes life much easier. About 25 bucks on amazon.

Ive used helix and herpstat for many years without any trouble. I have seen a number of failures from hydrofarms on another forum that Im member on. On a budget I would look at jhonsons or rancos. They are an on/off type thermostat but I have used them in the past with no problems.

I use hydrofarm can't beat them for the price. My old one I made myself was a lot more accurate. A little over kill I think.
