How soon until new gecko poops?

I purchased my first adult male leo a week ago at an expo. I was just wondering when do new geckos usually start pooping? He has been very eager to eat but I know he's still new and I don't want to overfeed and risk him throwing up. I've been giving him dusted medium sized mealworms (about 6) and small dubia roaches (maybe 4) every other day. He has a hot spot of 89-93F and a cool spot of around 70F at night and 76F in the daytime. It's just he has not pooped even though he has been eating. If this is a completely normal thing for new geckos, then how long until it becomes a concern?

Hmmm... that doesn't sound very normal to me. most of my geckos poop just a day or two after they eat... it sounds like your setup and heat is fine. If you notice him starting to strain (like he is trying to poop) it could mean an impaction... or constipation? If you see him doing that, a vet visit is a good idea. I know that there is a trick with mineral oil to help with this stuff, but i dont know the specifics, so i can't reccomend it to you. maybe someone else can help. What substrate is he on?

He'll probably go when he's ready (it takes me awhile in a new place too). It's good that he's eating. Feed him as much as he wants and if he eats too much and throws up, he'll learn for next time.
Congrats on your new gecko. Pictures are always appreciated if you haven't already posted him.

He's on ceramic tile. I haven't seen him straining or anything of the sort but I'll keep an eye out. I think I'll give him a few more days before calling the vet because he might be still acclimating to his new home. But thank you for the advice :)

Update: Finally after 10 days he pooped! It's a tiny amount right on his digital thermometer probe hah. I did notice him straining to poop the last 2 days and his feces has some odd yellow color in it. Could it be parasites? He is slender compared to most male leos I've seen.

I just brought home a baby It ate about 12 baby crickets in 3 days with no poops. Though it is new to the home, getting worried this morning day 4 I gave him a warm bath he didn't like it much but I think it helped. Then I put a drop of olive oil on his nose and an hour later a poopy was there.

My hatchling didn't poop the first night after eating 3 meal worms and 2 crickets so I upped the wattage on the over head bulb I have from 60 to 100 watts which heated the hot spot to about 95 and the cool spot to about 80 and before long there were three poops. I read that if a gecko is having trouble digesting something a little more heat will help. This could be totally wrong and it could've been coincidence but yea.
