Ok instead of starting multiple threads I will just ask everything here.

are there any advantages to having a pair if you have no intentions to breed? ( by pair I mean two individuals not opposite genders, though I know you should not mix males)

I can not decide between a 36x18 or a 24x18 exo terra. What would you recommend? Also how many would be optimal in each.

I love my little guy and certainly have no plans of getting anyone right away. But I do want to be prepared in case there is another morph I fall for.

How peaceful are leopards and how high risk is having multiples?

I know I just got mine today but everyone says how addictive they are LOL. though I am in no rush to add another to our family.

In my opinion, the only advantage to having a pair (let's say, 2 females) is if you want more than one, have limited space to keep them, and they get along OK. With few exceptions, I don't think they really relate to each other.
As far as space goes, some people would say "the bigger the better", but others feel that a huge space can overwhelm a gecko, especially a juvie.
I would keep 2 in a 24x18 and 3, possibly 4 in a 36x18. I currently have 3 in my 36x18 and have had 4 for brief periods.
Some people feel that there's no guarantee more than 1 gecko will ever get along, even after years of living together apparently peacefully. Others feel it can work with the proper geckos. Nearly all my geckos are kept for most of the year in small groups of 2-3 (I have 16 adult leopard geckos that are not for sale right now) and I rarely have problems. I watch them very carefully. There are occasions where I notice someone is stressed and they are removed from the group either permanently or temporarily.

I have been thinking a lot and I think I will get two 20 longs and just use the tank stand I have if I decide to get a second, when I upgrade my new baby I will order supplies for two habitats.

This way everyone is safe , and in a suitable enclosure.
