Is this gecko being attacked?

Hi, is it natural for some geckos to turn a bit blackish as they mature? Ive never experienced this before, so im thinking it may be bite marks from her tank mates, but i have never seen any aggression between her and the other 3 geckos, their in a 40 gallon exo terra btw.

It is normal for some orange geckos to show a color variation depending on temperature and mood. That looks within the normal range.

Even when leopard geckos aren't outwardly aggressive toward one another, they can still assert dominance in other ways that can be stressful to one another. I personally dislike the concept of housing multiples together simply because it's more difficult to keep track of who's pooping what, who's got what personality, who's sick and who isn't, etc.

In my opinion she looks either on the cooler side in terms of temperature or, if not sick or actually fighting, perhaps stressed. I've seen a LOT of leopard gecko owners who house multiples together and they all look kind of muddy in comparison to how they looked from the breeders.

Again, in my opinion, I don't think it's wise to house multiples together, firstly because of the aforementioned reasons, secondly due to dominance hierarchy, and thirdly because I value the safety and mental/physical well being of my individual animals over the convenience of a multi-housing system- especially in a species that is solitary by nature.

It does look like she's been getting bullied. What i would do is take her out and put her in her own cage alone for a month or so and see if her color changes and if the wounds go away.

Looking close up it almost looks like marks from breeding is there a male in the tank
