6qt tubs are far too small for an adult. Those are hatchling racks. You can check around with the various rack makers, I've never seen any that only make hatchling racks. You can check compare prices between Boaphile Plastics, CSerpents, Animal Plastics and Dragons4U. I'm sure there are others, those four are who I see most often.

I see most people having the adults in at least 28qt tubs. I keep mine in 34qt tubs on a DIY rack, personally. But 6qt is absolutely too small for an adult gecko.

I keep 1 adult gecko in a 34qt. The length of it is only about three times their own length which I don't really consider too much space. They eat fine. Just have to have more hides for their sense of security, but I'm making DIY hides to keep it interesting. Even Ron Tremper does 28qts for 1-2 females.

They do spend a lot of time in their hides. But will often go to different hides depending on what they want, and will wander around the tub at night often times. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there's not a whole lot of information about what size territories they keep in the wild and how strictly they stay within them. During the day, they definitely stick to one spot, but at night they likely wander looking for food.

Personally, I kept my first gecko in a ten gallon for a few months and really felt that it was too small based on her behavior. That's just my personal opinion. Many people keep them in 15qt tubs individually with success as far as I know.

i have 3 females and 2 are small ( they are healthy just geneticall small) they are in a 20 gallon long tank and they do good health wise and they behave like they are comfortable so maybe geckos just have different preferances in size kinda how they have different personallities and how so like different foods than others
