so just wonderland guys if fine gran children's play sand is ok for leopard geckos, ive always been told no sand at all so i thought i would ask you guys first
The only time I would use sand is mixed with excavator clay and eco earth in a display tank. The key is using the clay so it dries hard and just some sand and coco for texture.
Play sand is way better than calcium sand but there's still a chance of impaction if they decide to snarf down a ton of it. If you want a more naturalistic look I'd go with ceramic or slate tile with a thin layer of play sand under it to better conduct the heat.
great thanks guy i think as a safer option ill keep with paper towls, just though would as before i did any think, paper towls pretty cheep any way like £1 for 6 big roles here in the uk any way
