I am a new owner I have had my gecko for a week now and I I have a heat mat for her under a hide for the warm hide I also have a moist hide and cool hide and I know people say you don't need any heating other than the mat but I have also heard that it is okay to use heat lamps, so many mixed opinions online with these things so I just need help
My situation is I keep my gecko in my room and I keep my room around 60 degrees year round because Im very hot natured and keep it that way so I can sleep and I have been using a heat lamp for my gecko for the past week air temp staying about 80-85 F during the day and around 75 F at night just wondering if it is okay to continue using this lamp or if I should take it off to avoid potentially causing harm to her any help is greatly appreciated.
