I found a few pieces of driftwood on the beach and would like to double check how to make them safe for my leopard gecko. 
I'm not sure if I should be worried about the saltiness of the driftwood and would also rather avoid bleaching it, so would baking it in the oven for say 20 minutes at around 250 be enough? I have a small amount of water-based polyurethane I might be able to water down and lightly coat the wood with if that seems necessary.
Also I would love to see how you used driftwood in your tanks if you have a link/image!
