My Leopard Gecko tank.(Pic heavy)

Hi, I've had my leopard gecko for about a week now. He's ate every night anywhere between 10-20 meal worms. He has also pooped 2 times.

This tank is a 20g long. Please no comments on the sand, the tank is 2/3 rocks/slate. He's an adult, so that also lowers risk of impaction.

The tubbaware to the right is his moist hide....

I'm going to buy 2 more hides one for the 2nd lvl "deck" thing and one for under it... There is an UTH it's to the left beneath the deck...

He only pooped 2 times in a week? Gecko's should poo every day.

i like your setup...except for the one thing i am not supposed to comment on...sorry, i just don't see the point in risking it. low risk is still risk. leos are not meant to live on sand. their natural habitat is not sand.

it should poop more than 2 times in a week mine sometimes poops 2 times a day lol being an adult doesn't lower risk of impaction either. and what pet store did u buy your back round at? i need one

I would get another hide too, on the left side. It looks like you only have two (moist and cool or warm).

I also have to comment on the "no comment." My experience isn't with impaction, but my first adopted female had a very bad eye infection that her vet accredited to sand getting kicked up into her eyes and face during hunting, as she was kept in an enclosure very similar.

I'd replace it, but I can't find anything to replace it with. I don't want to use paper towers, I want more slater/tile. I'm only 13 so I can't take myself to home depot to buy some.

Just for you guys...

I replaced the sand with a big piece of tile. The only sand in the enclosure is...

A) Underneath the tile...(no contact with leo)
B) Inbetween cracks of tile (poses no threat)

You all happy now?!!?:main_evilgrin:

Lol I think Apollo ( his name...unless he turns out to be a she) likes it too =) I put it down and he walked out of his humid hide to explore, even though thats all I changed.



-Skeeter, I got mine from where the pets go ;).

-When it says banned under peoples names like that...does that mean they're banned, or they just wrote that there to trick me..=p?
