Has anybody used this as a tank before? I'm thinking of buying the 38 gal. What would be the advantages and the disadvantages of using this as a tank? I am going to place the flexarium lying down so there is mch more floor space. I would also like to say that this is a cheap and big 'tank'. This costs RM105 (about $29.50) and this is a 38 gal tank. The 65 gal costs RM150. (about $42.10) I think this is considered cheap in the US correct me if I'm wrong please.

Here is the link for the flexariums:

You can probably make it work but ehh there are better options, A LOT better.

If you put the 38gallon size on its side you will get a little more floor space than 20gallon Long BUT i don't see how you could use a UTH on that thing and the entrance to the tank would be on one of the side.

Also it won't help maintain ambient air temps to well (they are important too) Glass tanks and plastic bins help to contain the heat because it only has one way to escape but in the tank you showed us the heat will escape quicker. And if it ever gets cold or you have a draft in your home your leo can probably be affected.

If you want a Bigger tank you can try constructing one yourself from and old cabinet/dresser or getting a glass tank or a plastic bin. LeapinLizards has found some pretty cool breeding bins for her rack (the four larger ones at the bottom) and they're clear.

Hope that helps.

Ok guys thanks for the input. Maybe I won't get the flexarium. But can someone give me some ideas on how to make a wall/door on any one of these shelves? Sorry for the big pics. The measurements for the big shelf is 18"x33"x24" small one is 18"x33"x12".
