i have tried EVERYTHING.
i upgraded my adults to a 20 gallon tank from a 10 gallon after rescuing them from someone on craigslist. there are 2 in there. their 10 gallon NEVER smelled. but ever since i put them in the 20G, it has been AWFUL.
i have tried bleaching everything, using dishsoap, boiling water, washing the repticarpet in the machine, washing it with dishsoap and letting it airdry, etc.
i just did all this yesterday, and it smells even worse than it did before. there is no poop in there, i clean it out every time i see one. there are no decaying bugs, everything is clean.
my geckos are healthy, both are eating and have normal poop.
i just don't know what to do! can it be the cage furniture??? i don't know how it smells so bad so soon though, even after i've cleaned all of them very well and made sure they didn't smell when i put them back in the cage. it's mking my room smell disgusting and i can barely be in there.
any suggestions?
