I keep my UTH in the low-mid 90's. That's what I've understood to be correct, but it's been a while since I looked it up and I don't have a good memory for numbers lol But I don't think people let it get to 100.

I didn't vote either. I keep the warm end around 92 day and night.

Okay, maybe this is a dumb question, but I'm new. Do you just use a sticky theromstat "stickie" to check the temp when using a UTH?? Do you stick it right on the bottom of the cage?? How do you "control" the temp?? All mine does is plug in.

You can get a rheostat to plug the UTH into, to help control the temp. It is almost like a dimmer, so you can adjust it to what temp you need it to regulate at. Also, I wouldnt recommend a "sticky" I use digital thermometers, you can get them from Reptilesupply.com and they are on sale for like 5 bucks, they are awesome. I put one on the cool side and one on the warm side. I like to keep my warm temps between 90-95*F. And remember, that your tank should be sitting on something off of the table to let the UTH have airflow underneath, otherwise temps will get well over 100 because it cooks itself. I like to monitor my cool side as well, but I dont find this to be as important. Typically my cool side will rage will room temps, but its usually anywhere between 75-85*F. Hope this helps!

I keep my hot side temps at about 90-94 degrees F during the day, and my house cools down a little bit at night so they go down to 86-89 degrees F at night. :)

97 degrees for me... The hotter you keep the hot end, the more naturally your leos will behave... They will also eat more and metabolize their food intake better and more efficiently...

I have had days when the hot side was 100 degrees... My geckos did not burn or melt or go up into flames... LOL

my leo won't go in on the hot side if it is above 93, so i keep it at about 90~92 and she seems happy with that

Hot side inside the cage is anything from 95-100 during the day. I put a red 40w bulb on during the day causing the heat mat to click off, then the bulb goes off in the evening and the mat clicks on. So the air temp is slightly cooler on a night even though they have plenty of heat all the time on the warm side.

Other than times when they go off food they eat fine and poop fine. If its too warm for them they just move, theyre not stupid :D

Even the ones that are off food atm are very active and seem healthy so i must be doing something right :main_thumbsup:

Mine has ranged from 92 to 99 depending on house temp day/night, and we keep it round 85/75 in house. I have a rheostat to help with control on the UTH spot.
