Infared Light/Night Light

3 days ago i installed an infared night light to slightly raise the air temps now winter has arrived and aid with night time viewing.The floor temps are 90f hot end and about 75f cool end,but since i have used the infared light my leo is just hiding away in his humid hide all the time and does'nt come out!
I know they don't like change and was wondering if he will get used to it,it says on the bulb box that it helps with natural behaviour! but not so!
Some avice folks from anyone who uses or has used infared/red light bulbs.

I use Zoomed red light bulbs in my gecko room; my geckos don't seem to be bothered by it at all. Here is a post I made earlier, its my geckos under red light:
