UTH question and temperature

I have UTH'S under each of my tanks and use carpet. My thermometer\hygrometers are near the top of the aquariums. The air ranges from 78-80 depending on the AC temp in my house. The floor is between 82-90 again depending on the time of the day.

Everything I read states that they need to be at 82-90 constantly on one side and I've read on many threads that the belly temp is the most important and from what I've gathered is fine with my setup.

I guess my question mainly is using a UTH alone enough? Granted it's the correct size for the tank size which mine are.

Also, I'm planning on breeding in the coming months and wonder if anything needs to adjusted to aid in all their functions.

Thanks,
Mj

There is no need to measure the air temps. Especially that high up, it has no effect on the leo. As long as the ground temps are fine, a correct size UTH is all you need for heat.

You need to wait for someone else to answer the breeding question, though.
